Tax Strategist Certification
Terms and Conditions
Effective date of these terms: January 01, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the Tax Strategist Certification, offered by LTA Academy, and apply to the edition of the program in which the participant enrolls. By completing enrollment and checking the acceptance box at checkout, the participant confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms in full.

1.Nature of the Program
1.1The Tax Strategist Certification is a private certification offered by LTA Academy, with its own standards for admission, evaluation, and certification.
1.2The program does not award continuing education credit before the Internal Revenue Service, CTEC, or any other regulatory body or state board. If the participant's objective is to accumulate continuing education hours, this is not the appropriate program, and other options are available in the LTA Academy catalog.
1.3The certificate does not confer the Enrolled Agent, CPA, or USTCP credential, and does not grant any right to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service or any other tax authority.
1.4The program was designed and endorsed by a professional credentialed as a USTCP, one of fewer than 300 authorized to represent clients before the United States Tax Court.
1.5The program is delivered in Spanish and is intended for practicing tax professionals in the United States.
2.Admission and Enrollment
2.1Each edition is limited to 24 participants, organized into six pods of four.
2.2Admission is granted through an application and a screening interview. LTA Academy may decline an applicant without stating cause, in which case no charge is made.
2.3A seat is confirmed only once payment, or the first payment under the selected plan, has been received and processed.
2.4Enrollment is personal and non-transferable. A seat may not be assigned, sold, lent, or shared with another person, including partners, family members, or employees of the same firm.
2.5Pod assignment is determined by LTA Academy and is not subject to change at the participant's request, except for operational reasons.
3.Program Length and Format
3.1The program runs for 12 weeks, observing holiday breaks. Start and end dates are set for each edition and published at enrollment, and are subject to change from one edition to the next.
3.2Content, materials, and the program community are hosted on the Kajabi platform. The program community is TSC Insiders.
3.3The session schedule, the order of modules, and assigned facilitators may change for operational reasons. LTA Academy will provide reasonable advance notice of any change, and the total length and essential content of the program will not be reduced.
4.Live Sessions and Recording Policy
4.1Live sessions are not recorded for replay or distribution. Participants do not receive session recordings and no replay is made available. This is a design decision and not a technical limitation: the work is resolved live, and case discussion requires a closed room among participants.
4.2Participants may not record, capture, photograph, transcribe for distribution, or rebroadcast any session by any means, including automated recording tools and artificial intelligence meeting assistants.
4.3Breach of Section 4.2 is grounds for immediate removal from the program, with no refund and no certificate.
4.4No substitute material exists for a missed session. Attendance is the one component of the program that cannot be replaced with content. Limited capture by LTA Academy for promotional purposes is addressed in Section 13.
5.Attendance
5.1Attendance is required for all 12 weeks of the program. This commitment is confirmed during the screening interview prior to enrollment and is a condition of participation, not a recommendation.
5.2A maximum of three excused absences is permitted across the program. An absence is excused only when the participant gives advance notice in writing to programs@ltaeducation.com.
5.3For each excused absence, the participant must submit the completed exercise from the missed session, showing the reasoning behind the work. An absence is not treated as excused until that submission is received.
5.4A fourth absence, or any absence without advance notice, means the Certificate of Completion is no longer attainable for this edition. No refund, credit, or extension arises in that event.
5.5No submissions or make-up work are accepted after the program closing date.
6.Evaluation and Certification Requirements
6.1To earn the Certificate of Completion, the participant must meet all of the following: attendance as set out in Section 5, minimum content progress of 85 percent on the platform, a minimum quiz score of 85 percent, and submission of the final essay.
6.2The certificate is earned. Payment of the investment does not by itself entitle a participant to the certificate.
6.3Quizzes allow three attempts.
6.4Verification of completion is the responsibility of the academic direction of LTA Academy, and its determinations are final.
6.5A participant who completes the program without meeting the certification requirements retains access to the materials under Section 9, without the credential.
7.Investment and Payment Terms
7.1The investment for the program is the amount published at checkout for the edition in which the participant enrolls.
7.2Payment plans are available upon request and are structured according to the participant’s needs. The plan selected at checkout, including the number and amount of installments, forms part of these terms.
7.3Payments are processed through Stripe. The participant authorizes the recurring charges corresponding to the selected plan until the full investment is paid.
7.4If a charge is declined, LTA Academy will retry collection. After seven business days from the declined payment, access to the platform, live sessions, and the community is suspended until the balance is brought current. Suspension does not extinguish the obligation to pay the outstanding balance.
7.5Selecting a payment plan does not reduce or condition the total investment. The outstanding balance remains due even if the participant stops attending.
7.6Applicable taxes, bank fees, currency conversion charges, and issuer fees are the responsibility of the participant.
8.Withdrawal and Refunds
8.1A participant may withdraw within 15 calendar days of enrollment, provided written notice is received at programs@ltaeducation.com before the start date of the edition in which they enrolled.
8.2If the investment was paid in full, a withdrawal under Section 8.1 is refunded at 80 percent of the amount paid. The remaining 20 percent covers the seat held, the screening process, and materials already released.
8.3If the participant is on a payment plan, amounts already paid are not refundable. Upon withdrawal under Section 8.1, any remaining scheduled installments are canceled and no further charges are made.
8.4Once the edition begins, there are no refunds of any kind, full or partial, under any circumstance. Enrollment is capped at 24 seats and each seat is held exclusively for one participant and withheld from other applicants.
8.5Non-attendance, voluntary abandonment, a change in personal or professional circumstances, and removal for breach of these terms do not give rise to a refund, credit, or extension.
8.6Failure to meet the certification requirements does not give rise to a refund. What LTA Academy provides in exchange for the investment is access to the program, not the certificate itself.
8.7Before initiating any dispute or chargeback with a financial institution, the participant agrees to raise the matter in writing at programs@ltaeducation.com and to allow 10 business days for a response.
9.Access to Materials and Intellectual Property
9.1All program content, including modules, exercises, templates, worksheets, supporting recordings, and downloadable materials, is the property of LTA Academy or its licensors.
9.2The participant receives a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the material in their own professional practice.
9.3Participants may not reproduce, distribute, resell, publish, translate, or use the material to train third parties, and may not share platform login credentials.
9.4Access to program materials remains available for six months following the program closing date.
9.5Use of the Tax Strategist Certification name, the certification seal, or LTA Academy trademarks in a participant's own materials is permitted only to those who earned the certificate, and only to indicate their own credential.
10.Confidentiality and Client Information
10.1Discussion in live sessions, within pods, and inside TSC Insiders is confidential. Participants agree not to disclose outside the program the cases, figures, strategies, or professional circumstances shared by other participants.
10.2When presenting a case, the participant must anonymize the information: no names, Social Security numbers, EINs, addresses, or any detail that could identify a taxpayer.
10.3Compliance with Internal Revenue Code section 7216, Treasury Circular 230, and any confidentiality obligation owed to the participant's own clients is the sole responsibility of the participant.
11.Conduct and Standing
11.1Respectful treatment of facilitators, staff, and fellow participants is expected at all times, inside and outside sessions.
11.2The program and its community may not be used to sell services, recruit participants to other programs, promote products, or send unsolicited mass messages.
11.3The following are grounds for immediate removal, with no refund and no certificate: recording or distributing sessions, sharing access or materials, disclosing confidential information belonging to other participants, hostile or discriminatory conduct, and providing false information during admission.
11.4Access to the TSC Insiders community remains available for six months following the program closing date.
12.Educational Nature of the Content
12.1Program content is educational and general in nature. It does not constitute tax, legal, or accounting advice for any particular matter, and it creates no professional relationship between LTA Academy and the participant's clients.
12.2The participant is solely responsible for the positions they take with their own clients, for applicable due diligence, and for their own compliance with Circular 230 and all other applicable rules.
12.3LTA Academy makes no guarantee of financial results, revenue growth, acceptance of any tax position, or any other outcome from applying the content.
12.4The total liability of LTA Academy to a participant, on any theory, is limited to the amount actually paid by that participant for the edition in which they enrolled.
13.Recording, Image, and Testimonials
13.1The participant agrees that LTA Academy may capture audio, video, and photographs during program sessions and related activities, and may use that material to promote the certification.
13.2Any such material is used to convey the format and quality of the program. Full sessions are not published, and material that would expose a participant's case work or client information is not used.
13.3A participant who prefers not to appear in promotional material may say so in writing to programs@ltaeducation.com, and will be excluded.
13.4Testimonials provided voluntarily by a participant may be used in LTA Academy materials without compensation. The participant may request their removal in writing at any time.
14.Personal Data and Communications
14.1Program operations rely on third party platforms, including Kajabi, Stripe, and WhatsApp, each governed by its own terms and policies.
14.2The participant agrees to receive operational communications about the program by email and through the program's official channels. These communications are part of the service and are not marketing messages subject to opt out while the program is running.
15.Changes, Cancellation, and Force Majeure
15.1The terms that apply to a participant are those in effect at the time of their enrollment. Any material change will be communicated by email.
15.2If LTA Academy cancels the edition before it begins for reasons attributable to LTA Academy, the participant may choose between transfer to the following edition at no additional cost or a full refund.
15.3In the event of force majeure, including third party platform failures, public health emergencies, or the incapacity of a facilitator, LTA Academy may reschedule sessions without giving rise to a refund.
16.Governing Law and Disputes
16.1These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
16.2The parties submit to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Austin, Travis County, Texas, and waive any other venue.
16.3If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
